Born in former Czechoslovakia, Marcela Champion grew up in the heart of Moravian Tuscany, a region where wine is more than a craft. It is heritage, culture, celebration, and a legacy passed from one generation to the next. During her early years, life behind the Iron Curtain made international travel nearly impossible, creating in her a deep desire to see the world and one day share the richness of her homeland with others.

When the communist regime fell, new possibilities opened. Marcela pursued opportunities abroad, studying and working across Austria, Spain, and eventually the United States, where she built a career in international marketing, branding, and global business development.

Throughout her career, she has led demanding projects, managed international initiatives, and organized championship level events. Her strength lies in connecting culture, storytelling, and strategy, turning ideas into brands with emotional depth and commercial potential.

Yet her deepest passion remained rooted in Moravia: its vineyards, traditions, folklore, history, and quiet excellence. Marcela founded Denarius Wine to bring Moravian sparkling wine to the international stage and introduce the world to a region whose quality, authenticity, and innovation deserve global recognition.
